EPUB/PDF up for Flower Vase

UPDATE 2025/04/12: Holy heck, I was browsing through my carrd for this series and realized I had made the silliest mistake ever. 張奇 whose name I had previously written as “Zhang Ji” is probably supposed to be “Zhang Qi”! I feel like I’ve channeled Qin Zhiyuan here when I couldn’t even get the poor kid’s name right!

Anyway, this error has been fixed everywhere, from the site down to the PDF/EPUB downloads. I had to do everything on the site manually, so if you notice any weirdness or if I overlooked a mistake somewhere, please let me know.

Finally got around to making the EPUB/PDF for Flower Vase. They’re available over in the Table of Contents or on the carrd.

Unlike my previous translations, I defaulted back to Times New Roman for the main font for this one, and there are actually correct em-dashes!

On the editing front, I basically did only a few word choice adjustments here and there as well as added a few new footnotes — mainly about basic Chinese things, like what “ge” or “xiao” means, nothing major. I, uh, definitely slacked on editing again, oops. But I knew I would update these downloads somewhere down the line, regardless, so I got lazy.

Speaking of updates, I’ve also edited the old Record of the Missing Sect Master and Like Love But Not downloads to bring it more in-line with the new fixes (though the basic font is still Georgia). Hopefully, they both look prettier now. :P I also kept messing up and having to reupload, hence the ver2.1 label on their respective ToCs LOL.

Also, I know that I said I probably wouldn’t do Old Dreams, but I read it, and while I’m overall “meh” on it as a narrative, I noticed that there were a lot of overlapping scenes with the latter half of Flower Vase, so for the sake of consistency, I might end up doing it anyway. If no other translator expresses any interest in a week or so, you’ll probably see an upload from me about it. It’s a lot heavier than Flower Vase, though, so be warned…

How to Use: Myrics (Registration & Top-Up)

So I’m translating my next super secret project from the uncensored Myrics text, and while I think there is a guide already out there, I think they block certain IPs (like Taiwan so I can’t access it right now lmao), so here’s my own, to encourage people to support the author.

Myrics is an uncensored Chinese-language webnovel platform. I’ve heard folks say they’re a Taiwanese company, but their headquarters is listed in South Korea…? Either way, while it’s a relatively newer site (at least compared to the likes of Jinjiang or Chang Pei), and it doesn’t yet have a mobile app from what I can tell, it has a fairly easy to navigate interface, a nice reader, and no surprise chapter locks from governmental authorities.

In general, I think it’s fairly easy to use, even with minimal knowledge of Chinese, especially in comparison to all those Mainland Chinese websites.
